Fresh Start
I sent my son off to Kindergarten this year. He was so ready to go and I thought I was too. I mean I don't have to leave him somewhere, I work at his school. He is comfortable there, he has been going to Challenger for two years already. Both he and I know his teachers and they are FANTASTIC! Still I had a moment (or several) of total mommyness. It didn't really hit me until her brought home his first spelling test. I mean how silly is that. The perfect score (can't help but brag) on his first REAL test sent me into a bout of tears. Well that coupled with the first written sentences that I could actually read and understand:) I am so proud of him! AND he looks so adorable in his uniform. I have some pictures I will post soon. I am so proud that he can be a confident, poised young man and go into a room full of new kids and come out with a new set of "bestest friends ever" and the new love of his life. He never would have felt comfortable doing that until he started at Challenger. I am so lucky to have found such a wonderful private school that not only teaches children the foundational skills to be our future leaders but teaches a child to develop confidence and self-esteem. I am so blessed to work there and be able to have a positive impact on the future of our country!
